CNN Money Provides Some Pretty Good Tips on Car Buying and Car Negotiating
Here’s an article circulating on the internet from today, from CNN Money, about car buying and car negotiating. I think it’s ok, not great. There are a few tips left out: first, arrange your own financing and your own loan in advance, because the dealer’s loan is often deceptive and more expensive even if it seems similar to the one you’ve arranged at your own bank. Second, if the dealer makes any representations about the car, make the dealer write these down on the “due bill” portion of the sales documents, and have the dealer sign the due bill and indicate that the promises made about the car are a part of the car’s warranty. If the dealer refuses to write down the promises, BIG RED FLAG. Third, if you’re buying a used car from a franchise dealer (i.e. a Ford from a Ford dealer, etc.), have the dealer print out the service records for you so you can review the warranty service records on the car to know if the prior owner or owners had any recurring major problems with the car.
Hope these tips prove useful to you. Thanks for reading & here’s the article.
NEW YORK (CNNMoney.com) – If the annual model year change-over – and all the sales that go with it – have you in a car shopping mood, don’t be lulled into paying more than you have to. The deep discount you think you’re getting may be nothing more than an illusion. Car dealers can make you think you’re getting a fantastic deal, and buyers tend to hear what they want. Here’s some advice on how to really get the best deal.
Don’t: Fall in love with a car
Don’t get us wrong here, a new car is a big purchase, so it’s important that you really do love your car. If you want to buy a microwave oven just because Consumer Reports recommends it, go ahead. A car, like a home, should make you happy and that’s something only you can judge.
But you wouldn’t marry someone after just reading their Facebook profile. You’d at least want to go out a few times, right? So don’t decide you’ve got to have that cute new SUV you just read about in a magazine. Calm down, catch your breath and wait. Wait until you can drive it. Wait until you can drive some competing models and get a sense of whether it’s really all that terrific.
And you may want to wait until the price comes down. Dealers often tack on premiums, charging more than full sticker price for brand new models they know will be in high demand from day one. So rushing to be the first one on the block with the hottest new model can cost you thousands of dollars.
And that “first with the hot new thing” thing fades quickly. Then there will just be you and that car. And those car loan payments. Hope you still like it.
Don’t: Take that long, long, long, long loan
Super long car loans may seem like a painless way to get a new car with low monthly payments. That’s certainly the way the salesman will pitch it to you. But here are two things to remember:
First, the bottom line is that you are just, flat out, paying more money. Whether you’re paying it in three years or six years, it’s just more money. (And a big part of that “more money” is more interest, so it’s not even buying you anything.)
Second, it may be painless now, but it won’t be painless if you find yourself trading in that car in a few years. If you haven’t paid off a big chunk of your loan by that time, you could end up “upside down” in your current car. That means you owe more money than the car is worth.
The car dealer will be only too happy to help you out with that problem, but that just means adding the money you owe into the loan for that next new car. And guess what? That means another long loan and you’re stuck again.
Don’t: Negotiate trade-in and purchase at the same time
Buying a car is really a series of transactions. Yet buyers tend to subtract what the dealer is giving them for their trade-in from what they’re paying for their new car. Then they say: “Hey, I’m getting a $42,000 car for $35,000!”
Actually, those buyers can’t take all the blame since that’s how the salesman presents it: as if that $7,000 is a gift, and they’re just doing you a favor by taking that old car off your hands.
Remember, they’re taking something of real value in exchange for that money. And you have the right to get as much as you can for your old car. Don’t allow the dealer to tell you what it’s worth.
You also have the right to pay as little as you can for your new car. But there’s no way you can negotiate both those things effectively if they’re attached because you won’t be able to see the numbers clearly.
Negotiate the price of the new car first. Get that number down to something you’re comfortable with. Then negotiate your trade in and get that number as high as you can, or if you still feel like it’s not enough, take the car elsewhere or sell it yourself.
Don’t: Negotiate in person
For some reason, buyers still feel like they need to negotiate the price of a new car in person at the dealership. In the old days, that was the only way to do it. If you called a car dealer on the phone, they wouldn’t even discuss pricing.
These days, most dealerships have salespeople, or even entire departments, that specialize in dealing with customers over the phone and by email. The old days of not talking to customers who weren’t physically in the store are over because a dealer knows that if he doesn’t negotiate a price over the phone, someone else will and he’ll just lose the sale.
Negotiating over the phone or via email keeps you in your comfort zone – your home or office – not the dealer’s showroom. While you’re waiting for an answer on your offer, you’re not stuck in an uncomfortable chair with nothing to look at but brochures.
Many dealerships now have Web sites where you can even search the vehicle inventory online and request a quote on a specific vehicle. That way you can be sure the vehicle you’re negotiating on really has all the features you want.
When the negotiating’s done, ask them to fax you the deal in writing so there will be no surprises when you arrive to get your car.
But we’re not recommending you avoid dealerships altogether. Before you get down to numbers, you’ll want to test drive the vehicles and get a walkaround from a knowledgeable salesperson. Just be clear when you go in that you’ll not be purchasing the vehicle that day. You still have some other research you want to do.
Don’t: Take a ‘great deal’ on the outgoing model year
You may be tempted by a steep discount on an outgoing 2007 model year car, but be careful. Remember that the car will ultimately be worth less at trade in time than a 2008 model year car.
That will be much less of an issue if the 2008 model year version is unchanged from 2007. If the 2008 version is all new or substantially changed, though, watch out. Your car will be seen as “old” the minute the new version hits the roads and will take a steep drop in value.
In that situation, only a huge discount will make up the loss. Or, if you just like the old version better, the extra cost may be worth it to you. As long you’re aware of what you’re getting into.

Translation of the quotes: Quote 1, 00:24 Gro is actually the best player I’ve played with on the National Team. I find that vital safety when she plays next to me on the court. She just makes me better. – Katja Nyberg Quote 2, 00:57 I saw right away that Katja and Gro found each other on the court. They create room for each other and understand each other. – Marit Breivik Quote 3, 1:22 And then she has this great sense of humor. So the chemistry was great between us from the start. She’s a player with a twinkle in her eye, and this makes us able to communicate really well. – Gro Hammerseng Quote 4, 1:58 It helps when you’re doing well otherwise in life. It makes it easier to get through the injury periods. Injuries aren’t exactly something a handball player wishes for. – Gro Hammerseng Quote 5, 2:13 Playing-wise I managed somewhat. It felt very sad to see Katja walking in the arena on crutches, but I managed to stay focused on the court. – Gro Hammerseng Quote 6, 3:59 It’s important to have fun on the court. Patrika – Coming Soon to Ujjain
Few months after Patrika challeged the leading Newspaper in Bhopal & Indore and leads over all the other players in the region, it is now stepping a foot forward in another strategically important city Ujjain.
Madhya Pradesh, the only state where monopoly existed in the Hindi belt of newspaper market has witnessed a sea change. The leader’s 50 years old monopoly has been finally demolished. The recently launched newspaper; Patrika, which comes from the Patrika Group has 5 lakh 75 thousand readers in Bhopal and Indore, this puts it neck to neck with the said leading daily, in just six months of launching. The Expansion to Ujjain will certainly add strength to Patrika’s efforts in becoming the overall leading daily in M.P.
Currently,Patrika enjoys a big lead over the rest of the players in Bhopal and Indore; in fact its readership is more than the numbers of both the 3rd and 4th major player in the state put together.
Elated National Head Marketing, Dr. Arvind Kalia states, “ It is truly a great moment for Patrika team. After an amazing launch in Indore & Bhopal , We are entering Ujjain which is yet another important location in M.P with great strategic importance. When we entered MP an year ago, we came with a commitment that we shall always maintain a high level of quality. I thank the readers and advertisers of MP who have shown their faith in the newspaper & given us the confidence to Expand our wings to Ujjain as well.”
It is interesting to compare what Bhaskar has achieved in 50 years, Patrika has achieved in just 6 months putting the leader in a defending position in Bhopal and Indore. Dainik Bhaskar is already witnessing a continuous decline in its readership of Bhopal and Indore editions, since IRS R2 07. From 20.85 lacs readers in R2 07, the readership has declined by 21% to 16.45 lacs, whilst the ad rates were always sky-high, because of which the CPT for the advertisers rocketed from Re.0.60 in R2 07 to Rs. 1.07 in R1 09 an increase of 78%! Now with Patrika entering Ujjain, it is seen as a milestone step in its journey to Provide Quality News & truth to the people of M.P.
Dr. Kalia says, “Bhopal and Indore together contribute to 74% of the total ad spends on the state of MP,Adding Ujjain to our armour will afurther strenghten our Marketing efforts & strategies in M.P. Patrika is already on the way to capture the major share from advertisers in many sectors. To name a few, for the month of May 09 – Patrika has a 100% ad share of educational clients such as Resonance, FIT JEE, Asia Pacific, IT Bench, Gupta tutorials and many others in Indore. In Bhopal also, Patrika has ad share of more than 50% in segments like real estate, lifestyle, automobile and education..
A very confident & elated Deputy Editor of Patrika Group, Mr. Bhuwanesh Jain states “We at Rajasthan Patrika are strongly committed to our reader’s desire in providing quality news & truth under all circumstances. Our entry in Ujjain is yet another milestone in our endeavor to fulfill the above said commitment to our readers. We are now entering Ujjain and we will do our best to enlighten the journalistic values as we have been doing over the past 50 years. We are committed to provide true news from the roots of the land”.

Your Guide to Car Transport / Delivery & Finding Reliable Car Transporters
Maybe you’ve just got a cracking deal on a car bought off eBay or Autotrader, the only hitch being that it is sitting in Mr Jone’s drive over the other side of the country? Or, you need to get your non-runner moved from A to B? Whatever your reasons, finding a car transport company to get your pride and joy delivered is something that most of us encounter at some point. Although the process is fairly straightforward, it does pay to plan ahead. The following advice and tips should help when choosing a reliable and trustworthy car transport firm.
Service Type
There are 3 main service types available to you when transporting your car, each of which carries their own pros and cons, these will be discussed in turn.
1) Have the car driven on trade plates
2) Have the car transported on a single car trailer
3) Have the car transported on a multi-car trailer
Having the car driven on trade plates by a professional can often be the cheapest option for car delivery. However, you are adding mileage onto the car and there is an increase in the chance of damage when compared with the other main methods whereby your vehicle is trailered.
Single car trailers are generally used for the more urgent vehicle deliveries, accordingly, however as only one car is moved at a time it also tends to be the most expensive. There are a wide range of single car trailers on the market, from simple open-tops to those that are enclosed and even climate controlled. You may wish to insist upon an enclosed trailer if your vehicle is of particularly high value or is irreplaceable, but expect to pay a premium.
Multi-car trailers can transport several cars at once, whilst the service will be slower you can expect a lower price. Cars are being transported on multi-car trailers everyday and if there is spare capacity on a route a vehicle transport firm is already travelling you could get a great price. As multi-car trailers are harder to manoeuvre than single-cars, it is often the case that vehicle transport firms will not deliver to the door, but rather to a local hub where the vehicle can then be collected from. So, it is worth checking that out prior to accepting any offer.
Getting Prices
Like any service, you wouldn’t just accept the first price quoted so it pays to shop around. Aim to get at least 5 quotes for your job.
Insurance
One of the most important things to do when choosing a car transport company is to check their insurance documents. If they are not adequately insured you run the risk of not only their transporter being impounded but also your own vehicle. Plus of course, in the event of an accident you will want the peace of mind that your vehicle is adequately covered. Policies can differ from company to company, but the key areas you will want to look for are the value of the level of cover as well as cover for both damage and theft.
Your own car insurance policy may already have cover for your vehicle whilst in transit, so it is certainly worthwhile checking that. Some insurance firms do also allow you to add this option to your insurance for a fee. Having this option available to you as a back-up should the worst happen and the car transport firm fail to claim is worth it for the peace of mind alone.
Establishing the trustworthiness of the car transport company
So, you’ve got a great price & their insurance cover is fine, but how do you know that they are reliable & have adequate experience. It is worth conducting a search on Google for reviews of the company so you can see what previous customers have said about their services. The car transport firm should also be able to offer you testimonials. At the end of the day, it is up to them to prove to you that they are trustworthy. If they find it hard to do that, they probably aren’t the right ones for you.
Payment Terms
Now that you have chosen your car transport firm, it is normal practice to be required to pay a deposit, but this should not exceed 25% of the total cost. Usually cash or check is accepted as payment, however using a credit card is your best option in case you need to dispute charges at a later date.
Go through contract
Verbal promises mean nothing. Make sure that everything is down on paper in black and white. If you are uncertain about any clauses, ask the firm and get them to re-draft it if necessary. There should be a clause whereby you are compensated if they fail to deliver within the specified timeframe.
Preparing car for transport
Once you have agreed dates, signed the paperwork and paid your deposit, you will need to prepare your car for transport. Don’t leave this until the last minute. Your transporter will no doubt offer you tips as well, but be sure to check for and document any pre-existing damage by following these steps:
1) Wash the car thoroughly.
2) Make a written note of any chips, dents or other cosmetic damage whatsoever.
3) Take photos of the car from several angles as well as close-ups of any damage.
4) Date the photographs and written record.
Be certain to remove any personal items from the car (including the boot), these generally won’t be covered by insurance should they go walk about. Also any extra weight could potentially cause damage to the cars undercarriage whilst in transit as well as other vehicles if on a multi-car trailer.
Unless the car you are getting moved is a complete write-off you should check it for any mechanical problems. Although your car will be driven very little (if at all), you should try to ensure that it is running as best it can to help prevent any time delays or damages.
1) Check the battery is fully charged & tyres are fully inflates.
2) Top-up all fluids in the car but try to run down the petrol tank to about ¼ full which will help save on weight.
3) If you have spotted any leaks or mechanical issues, be sure to let car carrier know. If you car is going on a multi-car trailer it should be placed on the bottom rack to prevent spilling on cars below.
Finally, if your car is a soft-top be sure that it is securely down. Fold back your wing mirrors & retract the radio antennae. Remove/hide any items that could catch the eye of thieves such as cd players/sat nav. Also, be sure to disable your car alarm prior to pickup, if that’s not possible be sure to tell your car transport company how to turn it off should it be triggered.
What to expect from the car transport firm on pickup/delivery
Before releasing your vehicle make sure you have made a record of any pre-existing damage including time-stamped photos. When the company arrive, they will inspect the vehicle with you and note this damage on their own records, make sure that any/all damage is recorded there before signing.
Before loading up your car be sure to check the mileage indicator, although your car may be driven a little to load/unload it, there should be no major increase in mileage between pickup and delivery.
When your car is delivered, inspect your car slowly and carefully. Do not rush this step or sign anything yet. Check for any new damage (including roof and bumpers) or increase in mileage. If there are any inconsistencies, you should document these and get the driver to sign it. Only once you are happy and the driver has signed to acknowledge for any new damage should you sign acceptance. If you do not follow these steps it is unlikely you will have recourse at a later date.
In the unlikely event that new damage has been caused in transit, you should file a claim with the car transport company and follow their usual procedures. You should also file a claim with your own insurance company within 24 hours.
Post Delivery
The vast majority of car transport transactions go smoothly, however if there were any problems, first try to iron these out with the firm directly. They usually work on a referral basis and so really do want to resolve any issues that have arisen. If you had tried but feel you are not getting anywhere, you may want to file a complaint with agencies such as trading standards.

Low Interest Rates Car Loan Online
Some of the most common ways towards low car loan rates are as follows.
Improving the credit score:
One should start making regular payments towards the pending loans. This is easy to say but difficult in application. Most of the times, despite efforts to do the monthly payment on time, you are late at doing the monthly payment. Talk with your lenders or creditors about the cause of delay and try that the delay does not in any way, adversely affect the credit score. If your salary is irregular or the income is in stable ask the creditors for other options available to be regular and improve the credit score. This is one of the most common alternatives towards low car loan interest.
Buying a used car or new car:
The rate of interest and the monthly payments are the two sides of a coin. Most of the debtors want the monthly payment to be as low as possible. Everyone knows that the purchase of a used car could bring down drastically the monthly payments. In these circumstances, the lender charges higher used car loan rates because they consider the used cars more risky than the new cars. When you sum up the total loan, it may be nearly equal to the price of buying a new car. One should be able to compromise with the brand and model.
Getting a cosigner:
The other way to get the rate of interest lowered is getting a cosigner. A cosigner assures the lender that the money lent is safe. The only caution that the applicant should take is that the cosigner should have good credit score. Getting a cosigner is easy because you have to just assure the cosigner that you are going to pay the monthly payment regularly. This is one of the best ways to lower the rate of interest.
Negotiating & Market Research:
One way to reduce the rate of interest is seeking quotes from various lenders and compare car loan rates. Once you know the current car loan interest rate that is prevailing in the market you can negotiate. The research and analysis of the prevailing rate of interest will consume some time but beneficial in the end, because armed with the knowledge, you will be able to negotiate better and the lenders will not be able to fool you.
When applying for online car financing one should take into consideration, not only the rate of interest but also monthly payment along with other terms and conditions. One should also take into consideration the total amount due through the car payment calculator. Merely the words “Low Interest Rates Car Loan” can lure many people to financial cheating as well.
At carmoneyfast.com we know that everyone needs to have their own automobile for easy transportation, but not each do have a good credit score to get loan application approve. With our special financial services we help anyone’s making possible to get auto, car, and motorcycle buying experience a smooth and positive one without worrying about credit history.

How To Convert Your Automobile To Run On Water?
How to convert your automobile to run on water, you say? Interesting concept to say the least and depending just who you ask they would be calling you insane right about now. Of course, nine chances out of ten, it would be someone from an oil company somewhere. It is not within their best interests to allow the common folk to have the means to get out from under their thumb or, at the very least, pinch them back a little bit.
I know what you’re thinking though. What about hybrids, you ask? They’re on the market – people are buying them so what you are saying is flawed. Not so. They are sold as high premiums when they cost less to manufacture. They also still use a combustion engine so you still need gas. They will claim gas prices are up because there are hybrids on the street because if you drive a hybrid, you lose less fuel – less fuel means less demand meaning you need to charge more to make a profit in order to bring the product in to a location for the only purpose of trying to sell it cheaper then the guy down the road.
It is possible, however, to take it to the man yourself by converting your car to run on water. It’s possible and doesn’t hurt anything, It is not technology which alters total function of your automobile’s engine. so if you don’t like it, you can remove it easily. You are not actually replacing gasoline with water so please don’t put water into your gas tank – you are simply making the combustible engine more efficient.
Unfortunately, I cannot share with you the intricate details, plans or step by step instructions – the inventors would be on my case and they don’t offer help if you mess with something else – and neither do I. Fortunately for you, I can explain in general terms what is being done, where it goes and how it is supposed to work.
First thing first is that a small container filled with water and a little baking soda is installed. It should fit snugly in the engine compartment. Make sure it gets filled with water as well as a bit of baking soda AFTER it has been installed. Other connections are installed that will eventually lead into the water with battery cables. At the point when the battery fires, the electrical current strikes the water. A chemical reaction happens as the molecules in the water break down to form what scientist’s call “Brown’s Gas”. The vacuum of the engine sucks Brown’s Gas into the manifold and then it finds its way into the engine, at which point it is mixed with your regular gasoline. This makes the gasoline’s combustible properties occur more efficiently than usual – a more complete combustion. This means your car expels less energy, less gas and your mileage is increased considerably so you use less gas.
